1. VISION 2030 IS NOTHING NEW
The Chief Minister described the 2030 Shared Prosperity Vision launched by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Saturday as nothing new.
Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari Tun Openg said it looks like Vision 2020, with a few commendable differences.
He said this when met by the media who asked for his views on the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 launched by the Federal Government.
The Chief Minister of Sarawak added he hoped it would bring great benefits to Sarawak.
2. SARAWAK GOVT UPHOLDS ALL RELIGIONS IN THE STATE
The Sarawak Government through the Unit For Other Religious (UNIFOR) has always taken care of the needs of all other religious groups in the state.
Deputy Minister of Transport and Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr Jerip Susil said the allocation provided by Unifor for the construction or upgrading of a religious center showed that the Sarawak Government takes into account the interests of the people of various races and religions.
He said this at a UNIFOR Check Delivery ceremony to the All Saints Pulapor Church in Mambong yesterday.
Dr Jerip added that other churches in Mambong also received funding through a small rural project (MRP).
At the event, he also handed over a check of 300,000 Ringgit for the construction of the church.
3. CM DREAMS OF SARAWAK BECOMING THE ASEAN ‘BAVARIA’
The Sarawak government under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg has put a lot of effort into the development of the digital economy as an alternative to achieving advanced state status by 2030 while dreaming that development is akin to the ASEAN ‘Bavaria’.
He said Bavaria, located in Germany, is one of two territories in the European Union that determines the future of the union.
He said when addressing the Business Session Council, organized by the Sarawak Business Federation, here on Tuesday.
He added that private sector support is needed to realize this dream.
He further said he hopes the private sector has one desire, one vision, and together they will create Sarawak’s transformation.
