Sarawak Goverment policy under Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg will continue to be business friendly and is ever ready to facilitate investors both domestic and foreign.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Tengah Ali Hasan said that Sama Jaya was the operation base for many multinational corporation (MNC) in the global electronic supply chain.
He added that Sama Jaya High Tech Park augurs well with the Industrialisation agenda of Sarawak that can leverage on the Digital Economy initiative to move State’s industrial sector towards industry 4.0, further powering the State’s economic growth.
“The Government can only facilitate, but the private sector as engine of SMEs must be creative and innovative, leveraging on advance technology including automation and robotics, big data as well as Industry 4.0 to succeed in this challenging environment.” he said.
“They must look beyond the low cost, low tech and labour intensive strategy for growth”
He said this in his speech during the launching ceremony of Iljin Materials Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kuching today.
He noted that Abang Johari will continue to promote Sarawak both locally and overseas to attract more investment in high tech industries as to create more jobs and business opportunities in Sarawak.
