He explained, there are many dilapidated schools in Sarawak that need to be repaired immediately.
He told this to reporters after attending the Swinburne University of Technology Graduation Ceremony in Kuching.
In February, the federal government has agreed to use Sarawak’s RM1 billion debt to repair dilapidated schools in Sarawak.
The decision follows the agreement between Education Minister and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg, which offers a RM1 billion loan to the federal government.
However, on April 8, the federal government was reportedly rejecting the RM1 billion loan offer from Sarawak which was supposed to be used to repay the state government debt with the federal government.
