KUCHING: Sarawak will continue to develop Sarawakians with the skills required to tap on eCommerce opportunities.
Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg said, the eCommerce industry has evolved and the way forward in the foreseeable future is to harness new technologies.
He added, it is important to utilise what is already available, keep updated with trends and technologies.
“The eCommerce world is still developing rapidly and it’s not too late for us to take part in it,” he said.
He explained, every component of the eCommerce supply chain has become an industry that is increasingly service reliant and these services are paving way for new money making opportunities with the adoption of new skills.
“eCommerce provides a solution to bring more variety and convenience by expanding the boundaries of traditional commerce,” he said.
He said this in his text that was read by Assistant Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industry Terminal and Entrepreneur Development Datuk Naroden Majais during the launching of Sarawak eCommerce Forum 2019, here.
He also urged on the need to uncover new skills and technology to remain relevant and competitive in the eCommerce industry.
