Therefore, Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi said this is to safeguard the existing harmony we have been enjoying for so many years.
He hopes that political parties and their supporters would always adopt healthy politics although their ideologies are different.
The former Dalat and Mukah District Council (MDDM) walikota also hoped that social media such as Facebook, Youtube and others should not be misused to disrupt the existing racial harmony and unity in Sarawak.
EC NOTIFIED ON DISSOLUTION OF SABAH STATE ASSEMBLY
KUALA LUMPUR: The Election Commission (EC) has been officially notified that the 15th Sabah State Assembly was dissolved and will begin preparations for an early state election there.
EC secretary Ikmalrudin Ishak said in a statement that the commission will meet soon to decide matters related to the election that must be held within 60 days from yesterday based on Article 21(4) of the Sabah Constitution.
As such, EC will convene a special meeting to discuss the implementation of the election.

POS MALAYSIA SUSPENDS INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES EFFECTIVE AUG 3
KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia is temporarily suspending its international delivery service, except to Singapore, beginning Aug 3.
Pos Malaysia in a statement attached to Facebook said its international mail, parcel and express mail service (EMS) to all international destinations, except Singapore, will be suspended until further notice.
The temporary service suspension is due to service impacts related to Covid-19, which include varying levels of restrictions across destination countries on flights, airport closures and cross border services
It said updates would be made available on its website and official social media platforms.
