PUTRAJAYA: The management of Ramadan bazaars in the Federal territories will be modified from this year to prevent congestion at the stalls.
Quoting Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa in Bernama, he said the ministry will work with the relevant parties on this before making an announcement soon.
The cancellation of Ramadan bazaar in Singapore this year does not mean that Malaysia will do the same.
He said the Ramadan bazaars will not be canceled but will be adjusted according to the people’s needs, especially those living in the cities who may not have the time to cook after returning from work.
The matter he said, will be looked in a serious manner as it involves big and spread out spaces which is dangerous to the situation during the COVID-19 crisis.
He added that the Ramadan bazaars this year could be held with up to 50 stalls in any one place, maybe even only 10 stalls which are spaced out and opened in many places.
