1) POLICE FIRE SHOTS TO CAR RAMMING EMBASSY’S CAR
LONDON: A car was shot by the British police using firearms and stun guns after it rammed other cars parked in front of the Ukrainian Embassy in London.
The Ukraine Embassy said, its ambassador’s official car was rammed twice before the police arrived at 9:50 a.m.
According to London’s Metropolitan Police, the suspect is a man in his 40s and was taken to a central London hospital for a precautionary check.
None of the embassy’s staff were injured including the suspect and the incident was not being treated as related to terrorism.
2) 2 CHILDREN DEAD, MANY HOMES DAMAGED AS STORMS PUMMEL SOUTH
DALLAS: Powerful storms that rolled across the South on Saturday spawned at least two suspected tornadoes in Texas.
The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office said, two kids died when strong winds toppled a tree onto the back of their family’s car in Lufkin while it was in motion.
While in Central Texas, according to Robertson County Sheriff Gerald Yezak, a suspected tornado hit the small city of Franklin, overturning mobile homes and damaging other residences.
Yezak added, two of the affected residents were hospitalized for injuries, while others were treated at the scene for minor injuries and some people had to be extricated from their homes.
