1. NOT ABUSE OF POWER, BUT PROTECTING THE PEOPLE’S INTERESTS
The Sarawak Government’s action to restrict the entry of certain individuals is not an abuse of power but is intended to protect the interests of the people.
According to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg, the action would not be taken if the individual does not have any records.
He said it would not prevent federal ministers from coming to Sarawak if under official duties and there are no provocations against the Sarawak government.
He said this during a press conference after the Closing Ceremony of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak Convention in Kuching yesterday.
2. SARAWAK THIRD HIGHEST IN ATTRACTING FOREIGN INVESTMENT
At the same press conference, Abang Johari revealed Sarawak was the third highest state in Malaysia to attract foreign investment.
According to him, Sarawak must be an export oriented economy that makes agriculture a strength and a service.
He said because of this direction, Sarawak must have a stable political climate which would influence investors’ confidence to continue to choose Sarawak as a safe destination for investment.
He added that the stability would also enable these investors to have better planning.
3. ABG JO: LEADERS MAY BE REPLACED, BUT GPS LIVES ON
Never power hungry, and for certain, Sarawakian leaders will be replaced under Gabungan Parti Sarawak.
According to Chief Minister Abang Zohari, when the time is right he would give way to others to lead Sarawak.
Thus, GPS is always ready to face the upcoming state election despite not knowing the exact date of the PRN.
