NOORHISYAM: STUDIES ON COVID-19 VIRUS MUTATION TO BE CONDUCTED
PUTRAJAYA: Studies on mutation of the Covid-19 virus will be conducted to learn more of its characteristics.
In announcing this, health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the studies could also help the Ministry of Health (MOH) to develop the vaccine and determine treatment for Covid-19 patients.
Dr Noor Hisham said that in the last six months, since the Covid-19 cases were reported daily, there was always something new to learn about the virus’ characteristics.
CONTRIBUTE TO SOCSO, EMPLOYERS URGED
KUCHING: Employers are urged to contribute to the Social Security Organization (SOCSO) to protect their workers through the scheme enacted under the SOCSO Act.
Director of SOCSO Phillip Sang asserted that the employers may be subjected to action for failing to do so for their workers.
AIRASIA NOW ALLOWS 2 PIECES OF CABIN BAGGAGE BELOW 7KG PER GUEST
KUCHING: AirAsia now allows two pieces of cabin baggage not exceeding a total of seven kilogrammes (kg) per guest effective today.
According to an AirAsia, guests who wish to travel with more than the permitted cabin baggage limit are recommended to pre-book checked baggage allowance prior to the flight.
While the purchase or upgrade of baggage can be done on airasia.com or the AirAsia mobile app up to four hours to departure time.
AirAsia also advised guests to arrive early at the airport, preferably three hours before departure to allow for enough time for all the necessary processes to take place.
