MOH: IT’S PHYSICAL DISTANCING, NO MORE SOCIAL DISTANCING
KUCHING: The term social distancing has now been replaced by physical distancing.
The Health Ministry (MOH) today announced in facebook that the term social distancing used in the standard operating procedure (SOP) to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic has now been changed to physical distancing.
The use of the new term refers to the public observing a one-metre distance from each other in new habits.
In addition, the public must also comply with the conditions set under the recovery movement control order (RMCO).
RON 97, RON 95 UNCHANGED, DIESEL UP ONE CENT
KUCHING: The fuel prices for RON97 and RON95 for the period of August 1 to 7 will remain unchanged while diesel prices will be up by one sen.
According to a press statement from the Finance Ministry, it said the weekly setting of the retail price for petroleum products for the period of August 1 to 7 follow the automatic pricing mechanism (APM).
Hence, the ministry said the retail price for RON97 and RON95 will remain unchanged.
It revealed that the price for RON97 will stay at RM1.98 per litre and RON95 at RM1.68 a litre.
RAMLAN IBRAHIM RESIGNS AS EC MEMBER
PUTRAJAYA: The Election Commission (EC) today announced the resignation of Datuk Seri Ramlan
Ibrahim as a member of the commission, effective July 31.
In a statement issued today, the EC said Ramlan’s `resignation had been consented by the Yang di- Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
Ramlan, 63, who is former Home Ministry secretary-general, was appointed an EC member in February last year.
