1.GPS SUPPORT TUN M TO LEAD AS PRIME MINISTER
KUCHING: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) supports Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to lead the country as Prime Minister.
GPS secretary-general Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi release a statement today saying GPS’ support was conveyed to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and to Dr Mahathir himself on Sunday (Feb 23) by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Alexander added that the Chief Minister had obtained a unanimous mandate from the GPS supreme council and all GPS MPs to give support to Dr Mahathir to continue leading Malaysia for the sake of the country.
2.JKR REFUTES DR TING’S CLAIMS ON DILAPIDATED SCHOOLS
KUCHING: The Public Works Department Sarawak JKR today release a press statement, refuted the claims made by Dr Ting Tiong Choon that 32 dilapidated schools in Sarawak have been upgraded.
Under the RM100 million package from the Ministry of Education (MoE), only 12 schools have been completed while another 18 are due for completion by April 2020 and the remaining two have been tendered out on Feb 15.
JKR added the implementation of the two schools was delayed because of site constraints.
JKR Sarawak said this in responding to former Pujut state assemblyman Dr Ting Tiong Choon’s post on his Facebook page with regard to the implementation of dilapidated schools in Sarawak.
