1. EXPLOSION IN GAZA AFTER ROCKETS FIRED AT ISRAEL
An explosion was seen in Gaza early today, hours after the Israeli military said its missile defences intercepted a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip at southern Israel.

On Tuesday the Israeli military said it identified two rockets fired from the Gaza Strip at southern Israel.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, the second in as many days by Palestinian militants.
2. FIRST 16 OF 39 VIETNAMESE DEAD BODIES IN UK TRUCK TRAGEDY REPATRIATED
The first 16 bodies of 39 Vietnamese people found dead in the back of a refrigerated truck after being smuggled into Britain last month have been repatriated to Vietnam.
According to a local Vietnamese official, the bodies arrived at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi early today, and would be taken by ambulances to their homes.
He said the remaining bodies would be repatriated later.
The discovery of the bodies in a container on an industrial estate near London has shone a spotlight on the illicit trade that illegally traffics the poor of Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
3. PAKISTANIS PROTEST BURNING OF QURAN IN NORWAY
Protesters gathered in Karachi, Pakistan yesterday in reaction to the burning of the Al-Quran in Norway last week.
They burnt Norwegian flags and chanted slogans against the Norwegian government, demanding the arrest of the individual who was involved in the incident.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said last week that it summoned Norway’s ambassador as it was deeply concerned over the burning of the Quran by a Norwegian man that was caught on video.
The video showed him desecrating the Quran at an anti-Islam rally in Norway. The incident drew nationwide condemnation.
