If you having cold coming down, you might want to try making this simple cold fighting chicken broth. It is easy and fasts to make especially when you are not feeling well but still need something to eat.
Prep time: 3 minutes Cook time: 5 minutes
- 1 can chicken broth (or water with a chicken stock cube)
- Powdered garlic
- Powdered onion
- Cayenne pepper sauce
1. Warm up the broth in a saucepan on medium heat.
2. Add powdered garlic and onion to taste.
3. Add cayenne pepper sauce to taste – a little goes a long way, stir it up and taste before adding more.
Option: You can use fresh garlic and onion or add vegetables, depends on individuality.
Garlic and onion both have antiviral properties to boost your immune system. Steam seems to help by lubricating your sinuses so you can flush out nasty viruses. Cayenne pepper is very soothing for sore or scratchy throats, plus it opens up your sinuses and adds a wonderful flavor.
Happy cooking :)!
