KUCHING: Having contributed 12 per cent to the revenue of Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd’s (CMS) in 2018, CMS Roads Sdn Bhd (CMS Roads) will continue bidding for road related projects and promoting the benefits of the ‘Performance Based Contract’ platform.
The ‘Performance Based Contract’, according to Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd’s (CMS) Group chief executive officer (CEO) – Operations Goh Chii Bing, as quoted in New Straits Times, is crucial as the contract holder is accountable for the quality which is beneficial for Jabatan Kerja Raya ie the Works Department and the road users.
Goh also revealed that the investment of 620 units of equipment and machinery to the tune of RM109 million has been carried out by the company to carry out its maintenance work in an effective and efficient manner.
Besides, the addition of four Road Scanners and a state-of-the-art Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) to measure the lifespan of the road surface has taken CMS Roads’ maintenance efforts up several notches.
