KUCHING, Sarawak – The Pan Borneo Highway is set to rumble as FS Adventures, a Malaysian motorcycle tour company, leads 20 over big bikers coming over from Germany, Belgium, Taiwan and West Malaysia are set to discover Borneo on two wheels for 10 days from March 14-23 2019.
Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, an avid big biker himself, turned up at Magenta Restaurant here to flag off the riders as they embarked on their adventure rally.
Before the flag-off, he wished all riders a safe and good journey and said that the federal and Sarawak government are currently constructing and upgrading the Pan Borneo Highway, and the Coastal highway that will offer another scenery along the highway.
Pin Sing Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, a local tour operator are the professional ground handler and logistics partner of this adventure rally that will cover a total distance of nearly 3000km including some off-road riding sectors.
The tour is led by BMW GS Trophy Marshal & Rider, Faizal Sukree, who is also a certified BMW Motorrad International Tourguide and Instructor.
The riders will experience the diverse culture, food and nature that abounds in this beautiful home of adventure. They will make stops in Sibu, Miri and the restive Merarap Hot Springs Lodge in Lawas before completing the tour up in North Borneo. – UKAS
