A&W WILL BE GREAT AGAIN, VOWS ANG
KUALA LUMPUR: The chief executive officer of both IMRSB and A&W Malaysia, George Ang has vowed to make A&W great again.
Quoting Bernama, he said, they are planning on opening 15-16 outlets this year to target clinching sales of RM100 million with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization of about 10 per cent of sales.
As part of the company’s recovery effort, A&W Malaysia has closed down 26 loss-making outlets, nationwide, in 2012.
Therefore, Ang revealed that A&W Malaysia would introduce more affordable set meals, serve fresh chicken as opposed to frozen chicken and work to enhance its breakfast service by introducing better choices of menu in the second quarter of the year.
He recently announced that the company targeted to open an additional 20 A&W outlets next year and hoped to expand the number of outlets to 100 by 2021.
