1. ABG JO: DON’T LET SARAWAK’S RIGHTS BE SWEPT AWAY
Before concluding the opening speech in conjunction with the Gabungan Parti Sarawak Convention in Kuching yesterday, Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg recited a poem for the people.
Through this, it is clear that the Chief Minister under the leadership of GPS will continue to defend Sarawak’s rights through the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), even if Sarawak remains in Malaysia.
He further said GPS has always fought with facts on its side and the spirit of its members who are passionate supporters of GPS.
In this regard, he asked GPS members to strengthen unity and continue to fight for the future of the state.
2. GPS MUST WIN PRN12
Gabungan Parti Sarawak must win the 12th State Election scheduled for 2021.
GPS Chairman Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg thinks the upcoming state election is very important for GPS.
He said Sarawak will have a bigger agenda after the election, and so Sarawak must win the upcoming state election.
Speaking at the inaugural convention, Abang Johari, who is also President of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), said the party has given an idea of how GPS shaped the state with its own mold.
3. TIONG: ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES SHOULD NOT BE ARROGANT AND CONCEITED
At the same event, Progressive Democratic Party President Dato Sri Tiong King Sing said elected leaders should not be arrogant and conceited as they would be punished by the people.
Therefore, he called for these leaders to change their attitude or be changed by the people, which he said was in the people’s power to do so.
