KUCHING: Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth, and Sports with ATV Awards Sdn Bhd today announced their collaboration to host the 23rd Asian Television Awards which will commence on the 11th and 12th January next year.

43534354_2234096269997263_1344149649241407488_nAccording to Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth, and Sports Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, the awards act as an important platform especially in promoting Sarawak further across the Asia pacific.

Furthermore, he said, in 2019, Sarawak will be organizing its Visit Sarawak Year, and with that, those opportunities to promote Sarawak should be fully utilize.

He said this in a press conference held to announce the collaboration on the awards at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching.

Launched in 1996, the award recognises the best of its own in Asia, not just the best programmes or the talents in front of the camera but also those behind the scenes.
