KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Malakoff Corp Bhd, CIMB Group Holdings Bhd

 and Yong Tai Bhd

to be among the stocks to watch on Tuesday.

Malakoff is partnering Touch Group Holdings Sdn Bhd on possible collaboration to develop several renewable energy projects particularly in the large-scale photovoltaic (PV) and mini hydropower projects in Pahang.

CIMB’s subsidiary Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd has obtained Bank Negara Malaysia’s approval to offer mobile e-wallet services in Malaysia.

Yong Tai’s Impression Series of Encore Melaka theatre – which is targeted to premiere by the second quarter of 2018 – is expected to contribute at least RM60mil in net profit per annum when fully operational.

Meanwhile, US markets ended mixed with the S&P and Nasdaq extending their record highs while the Dow suffered a pullback.

Earlier, European stocks were mainly positive following gains in basic resources and automotive counters, while the FTSE retreated after UK Prime Minister Theresa May reshuffled her cabinet.

On the local market, the FBM KLCI surged 14.18 points to 1,832.15 points yesterday.

“Following the recent rally, we expect profit taking to kick in with support at 1,800 points,” JF Apex said.
