A new report on Sarawak just produced by the global publishing, research and consultancy firm Oxford Business Group maps out the resource-rich state’s drive to develop its value-added industries as a means of diversifying the economy away from extraction.
Today, the official launching of The Report: Sarawak 2015 which took place in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex was inaugurated by the head of the state of Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud accompanied by Chief Minister Tan Sri Haji Adenan Haji Satem, State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Morshidi Ghani, CEO of Oxford Business Group Andrew Jeffreys, and Oxford Business Group Managing Director for Asia Paulius Kuncinas.
The Report: Sarawak 2015 provides detailed analysis of the sectors that are supporting the state as it broaden its economic base, including transport, construction, retail and agriculture.
Also present during the launching ceremony were Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang and Minister of Tourism and Housing Sarawak Datuk Amar Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari.
